When and where is it on?
Oct 24th 2018 at the Helix Conference and Exhibition Centre in the DCU Campus, Dublin.
How many years has it been going?
What was the inspiration to start it?
We recognised when it comes to cyber threats that the “bad guys” work together. They share information, teach each other and network in order to achieve their nefarious objectives. The ICTTf International Cyber Threat Task Force mission is backed by our mantra “It Takes a Network to Defeat a Network”. We therefore decided to establish an International community of “Good Guys” than can share information, teach each other and network in order to defend against the bad guys. Our annual EU Cyber Summit is an opportunity for that International community to come together and focus on the most prevalent threats facing organisations of all sizes and complexities.
What exciting things can people look forward to?
There are many exciting topics and speakers during the day. There will be 3 streams, covering Strategic, Operational and Technical aspects of cyber security. The event culminates with a live interview between Paul C Dwyer, President of the ICTTF and Edward Snowden in exile in Moscow.

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?
This is the largest event of its kind in Europe. It has a distinct focus on collaboration and sharing knowledge therefore the majority of speakers are not from solutions providers, they are real world experts peers there to share their experience and expertise. Having in essence 3 events on in parallel, means there are 3 levels of messaging on the day, strategic, operational and technical. As a consequence, there are 3 levels of audience/delegates there, which stimulates and accelerates discussions and decisions.
