Galaxy Note 9 update could leave UK Samsung fans feeling massively disappointed

Galaxy Note 9 debuted back in August and has been positioned as Samsung’s top-tier device for power users.

Note 9 comes with a gargantuan 6.4-inch AMOLED display that has a density of 516-pixels-per-inch.

Most notably, the hardware comes with a whopping 4,000mAh battery that can easily power the device for an entire day of intense usage.

Galaxy Note 9 also offers incredibly rapid performance across Google’s Android operating system thanks to its Exynos 9810 processor that is housed inside UK models of the device.

Moreover, Samsung’s flagship phablet also comes with an Adreno 630 GPU, meaning the Note 9 is capable of running the latest and greatest games with ease.

And the hardware can be configured with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, meaning a deluge of photos, movies and music can be stored on the Note 9.

We loved the phablet at Express.co.uk, awarding it a full five out of five stars in our Note 9 review.

And now it appears the premium device is set for an update, but it could leave UK Samsung fans very disappointed.

At the start of the month, notable tipster Evan Blass posted a picture of a Galaxy Note 9 flaunting a new white finish, suggesting a new variant of the device was on the way.

And now Samsung has officially revealed the “First Snow” white model in Taiwan showing pictures of the phone on its Facebook page.

The Korean firm has announced that the device will arrive in stores next month and cost around $1,000 (£800).

However, it was not discussed if the new finish will arrive in other territories across the globe.

Samsung typically releases new colours of its hardware after its release and some, such as the red Galaxy S9 and S9+ have remained exclusive to certain areas.

UK Samsung fans are currently only able to pick up the hardware in black, blue and purple varieties.

However, US customers were recently treated to a new silver version of the device that has not present on Samsung’s UK store.

If Samsung follows previous trends with the white Note 9, it appears UK Samsung fans could miss out on the new colour.

Express.co.uk will update you when we find out more.
