Ticketing Giant Ticketmaster Will Improve Its System By Using Blockchain Technology – DC Forecasts

World-famous Ticketmaster is in our blockchain news today for partnering with a blockchain-based company in order to enhance its services with the blockchain technology.

According to a press release, Ticketmaster partnered with Upgraded which is a blockchain-based live events company. Ticketmaster, on the other hand, is the world’s most popular and biggest live-entertainment business.

The reason for this partnership is to bring more transparency but also bigger and better control over the distribution of tickets.

Also very important, the company hopes that using blockchain technology will protect all the clients from fraud since the current system is based on printed or PDF-based tickets.

Upgraded will help Ticketmaster to digitize the traditional tickets by transforming them into interactive units that will have higher security level with encrypted barcodes. The founder of Upgraded expressed his excitement and satisfaction for the collaboration with Ticketmaster saying that this is the ‘’perfect time and platform’’ to promote what blockchain can do thousands of fans.

All of the new elements will be simply incorporated in the already built infrastructure of Ticketmaster but with a number of methods that will protect and improve the ticketing process for customers.

Since Ticketmaster has already faced a lawsuit of an alleged ‘’unfair business practice’’ by violating their own policies. Also, the ticketing company has again, allegedly, allowed fake accounts to go around the multiple ticket limits in order to conduct mass sales.

This partnership comes at the perfect time for Ticketmaster and for all customers that use this platform for the sake of their protection.
