What is Loom – Should You Invest? – Bitzamp

Loom describes itself as a “Platform-as-a-Service” network that allows developers to run large-scale decentralized applications. 

Built on Ethereum, Loom network intends to become the next generation of Blockchain platforms that will run games and social applications. The network claims to already have an Ethereum based infrastructure that is scalable, faster, and more stable than anything previously developed. Using the Loom Network, and the tools being developed by their team, developers could create global social applications and massive gaming worlds similar in size and scope to large-scale applications such as Facebook or the massively multiplayer game World of WarCraft.

The Loom Network was founded by Matthew Campbell, Luke Zhang, and James Duffy in 2017 and lists a team of over 50 members, which include the core management team, founding team, developers, front and back-end engineers, the marketing and operations team and many others.

Matthew Campbell, CEO and co-founder of the Loom Network has nearly 20 years of experience as a programmer and software developer. Before founding Loom Network, he worked with several companies including Gucci and Bloomberg.

Co-founder James Martin Duffy, prior to Loom Network, founded the Korean job portal and was the co-founder and President of Auragin, an herbal supplement brand. He also has several years of experience as a developer.

Luke Zhang, the third founding member of the Loom Network, has over 5 years of experience as a software developer.
